Want to kick 2020’s ass? Yeah, me too.. So when ModernWell decided to host a class to empower people to protect themselves and the class involved actual punching and kicking, I was ALL IN~ The trainers of Krav Maga Mpls. went all out in this fun, interactive workshop that was held outside in the ModernWell parking lot and all participants were socially distanced.  The trainers shared the tools and resources we need to protect ourselves in sticky situations, including tuning into our intuitive natural responses when in a potentially threatening situation. These situations could range from a night out on the town gone awry to simply unlocking your front door at night after a long day of work.

Who cares?
Did you know that 1 in 4 women will be assaulted at some point in their life? 1 in 4. So unfortunately we need to care. And that means that women especially need to know how to defend themselves, though anyone can benefit from Krav Maga training. What are you waiting for?

What’s Krav Maga?

Krav Maga (“Contact Combat” in Hebrew) was first taught in Israel to help people of all ages and fitness levels protect themselves during times of war. Inventor, Imi Lichtenfeld, pulled from a variety of self-defense forms, techniques and philosophies including aikido, boxing, wrestling, judo, and karate to develop this type of self-defense. This self defense method is effective because it taps into our innate responses to threat.

I am so bummed I missed this class. What can I do?
ModernWell will host another class for those of you who were not able to attend this one. Please reach out to us at hello@modernwell.com to learn more about upcoming self-defense events and join our mailing list at https://modernwell.co/
